Disable Virtual Memory

WARNING: this is for advanced users only. Don’t do this.
If you want to disable virtual memory, you can in Leopard by running this command:
Code:
sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist
You can then remove /private/var/vm/swapfile* because it/they will no longer be used.
If you do this, and you run out of memory, your entire system wil hang and crash so don’t do this.
To undo, run
Code:
sudo launchctl load -wF /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist
